I obviously have not been very good at keeping our blog updated... I am going to try again and make it a goal to blog more. It has been an eventful 8 months. A lot has happened. We have experienced some of the most amazing times of our lives along with some of the hardest and most tragic. Overall, I think that the main lesson that I have learned is that family is number one and nothing comes close to being as special as those relationships.
Courtney and Jason are raising the CUTEST little girl in the entire world. Eloise has been my sunshine during my darkest days. She is the biggest blessing to us all. She's so smart and always making us laugh! It's been such an amazing opportunity to be an aunt. I never imagined I would love someone else's child so much.
Bryce is on a mission is Chile. He is doing really well - teaching a lot of families and still making us all laugh in his letters. He is such an example to us all. I love him and miss him soo stinkin much but I know he is really where he is supposed to be. It's been incredible to see his growth.
Ty and I have been great. We have been able to do a lot of fun things in the short time we have been married. We've travelled quite a bit and had some unforgettable adventures. He is the best husband in the world and is going to be an amazing dad. Yes! That's right. We are expecting our baby boy THIS WEEK! We have a couple names picked out but I'm gonna save that for once he is actually born and named. We cannot wait to have him here! I don't think I have ever been this excited. We both are soo excited for this step in our lives.

Baby Eloise
Courtney and Jason had the most beautiful little girl on June 25th. She is the most precious baby I've ever seen and she somehow seems to get more beautiful every single day! Here are some fun pictures of the baby showers and of the baby :)
The Beginning of Forever
Tyler and I were spending every day together. It felt like a real life fairytale. Every spare second we were together. I knew that out streak of spending every day together was going to come to a halt soon because he was going on a family vacation to Mexico. One night he brought up the idea of taking me along. I looked at him like he was crazy because at the point I hardly knew his parents and thought the idea was very far fetched. Next time I came over to his house his parents brought the idea up to me. I was soo excited to go to Mexico with the boy I was already so crazy about. Before we left, Ty and I had gone to look at rings. We knew we wanted to be together but also knew it was REALLY fast.
I couldn't believe we were actually in Mexico together. The first morning we were there, Ty came to my room and woke me up at 5:00 am. We walked down to the beach and found a sun chair to lay on. As the sun was coming up he told me he had a secret for me. Once the bright red sun had come up over the water he pulled out a beautiful leather bound journal. I opened it and started reading. He had written pages about his favorite times that we had shared so far and about the times that made him realize that he wanted to be with me forever. The last page said Alyssa Chantel Miller....? He got down on his knee and asked me to spend forever with him as his wife. I can't explain how giddy it still makes me to reflect on this wonderful time in my life. I couldn't believe that I had been blessed with this young man who was so perfect for me and who in my eyes was and still is perfection. He is the biggest blessing I have ever been given. I absolutely cherish him.

Once Upon a Time...
Once upon a time there was a gorgeous prince named Tyler. Tyler was the fairest in all the land and every young woman knew this. He was a very confident young man (for which there was reason). In this same Wasatch land there was also a princess by the name of Alyssa. Alyssa was a little younger than Tyler but they seemed to run into each other quite often. When Tyler was 19 he was called to serve his church for a period of two years in the beautiful faraway land of Barcelona, Spain. Before he left on this journey, He and Alyssa spent some time together but there were never sparks.
When Prince Tyler came home from his mission he came down to the land of Provo to visit Alyssa at school a couple of times. Again, there were not any true sparks. For about six months the prince and princess did not see each other. Texts were sent back and forth on occasion but the prince was spending his time with another lady and the princess with another young man.
During the month of February Cupid must have done his job because Tyler and Alyssa ran into each other quite often. There was a time at Alyssa's friend's house when they coincidentally bumped into one another and talked for quite a while. The next time they saw each other was at a singles ward. They flirted and went their separate ways.
Well, princess Alyssa realized quickly that if she wanted something to happen with this prince she needed to act quickly. After all, he was the fairest in the land.... So she got rid of the young man she had been spending time with and immediately called the wonderful prince on her telephone. They met up that night and every night after that. This time however, sparks FLEW.
